ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Fortes is the writer & director of A Mother’s Will. A graduate of Columbia College Hollywood, he’s worked as a video editor for companies such as Multivision, 526 Films, and Deutsch LA Advertising. He has also tried his hand at acting. His first role was a terrorist for TLC’s TV Series Expeditions To The Edge. He was also featured as a patient on Untold Stories of the ER. On film, he played a juvenile thug in the indie film, Faith Happens and was even cast as a cannibal drummer in Disney’s second installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. 

ABOUT THE BOOK

Based on the book, A Mother’s Will was shot on location inside of a prison in Jefferson City, Missouri. The male lead, Nate, enacts revenge on behalf of Katherine, the female lead. Now she must decide whether or not she is willing to compromise her faith in god in order to save his life. Is love worth the risk at the expense of another man’s life?

Very good book - This book had it all-it was touching, funny, real, and raw. Great character development and plot twists. HIGHLY recommend.

This Book is great! - A Mothers Will is a tale about human nature, how far we will go in pursuit of our dreams and where we draw the line in terms of our integrity...Lovely and quite enjoyable.
